Beauty Sleep : My Overnight Skincare Ritual

You know what they say: "Beauty sleep is the best skincare routine!" And I 100% agree. While you peacefully slumber, your skin goes into repair mode, working hard to restore and rejuvenate itself. So why not give your skin a little extra love during those precious nighttime hours?

My Bedtime Skincare Routine for Effortless Beauty is quite simple but straightforward!

  1. (Double) Cleanse: Start by washing away the day's impurities with a gentle cleanser. On my makeup daus, I always start with a double facial cleanse. This step prepares your skin for maximum absorption of the products to follow.

  2. Tone: Not everybody use a toner. For me, it’s an absolute MUST! Once my face is dry, I apply Rosewater or FrankIncense water. In addition to calming my mind before bed, they create a clean, smooth canvas for other skincare products to work their magic.

  3. Nourish: Knowing your skin type is essential at this stage to better replenish your skin's moisture barrier. I apply my homemade night serum made with regenerating oils. Apply a hydrating serum or facial oil that meet your skin's needs.

  4. Moisturize: When my skin needs it, I lock in all the goodness with a rich, nourishing moisturizer. I use butter or a face cream with ceramides to deeply hydrate and strengthen my skin's barrier.

  5. Eye Care: Don't forget your delicate eye area. I apply an all natural eye balm homemade with a cocoa butter that works wonders!

  6. Hand Care: To keep my hands, which tend to be quite dry, soft and supple, I moisturize them several times a day. Before bed, I apply a richer, more nourishing treatment or a thick layer of shea butter to ensure they feel silky smooth when I wake up.

Tips. Treat specific skin concerns with targeted treatments like hyaluronic acid for dryness or jojoba oil for that extra boost of hydration if you have oily skin. These powerful ingredients work overnight to reveal a more youthful and radiant complexion. Free from the interference of sun's rays and pollution, your treatment will yield even more effective results.
